#WildcatWednesday - Meet Ms. Fritchy
Every Wednesday we will be showcasing a different staff member here at Whittier Tech!
This week is Ms. Maureen Fritchy! Maureen Fritchy is a science teacher at Whittier Tech. Her license is in chemistry but she is also qualified to teach biology and physics, and over her 23 years at Whittier she has taught Honors, CP-1, and CP-2 Chemistry, CP-1 Biology, and Honors and CP-1 Physics. For several years she mentored new teachers and was a sophomore and freshman class advisor. Ms. Fritchy will be retiring in June.
Here are some fun facts about Ms. Fritchy :
What do you like about Whittier: At Whittier Tech, Ms. Fritchy has enjoyed conveying interesting science information to her students and getting to know them. She also enjoys collaborating with her colleagues.
Fun Fact about yourself: Ms. Fritchy viewed the total solar eclipse in Burlington, VT. She has also seen an annular solar eclipse. While in Burlington, she had the opportunity to talk to ABC News anchor David Muir.
Ms. Fritchy’s advice to students: “My advice for my students would be that you get out of school and out of life what you are willing to put into them. Treat people with respect and use your manners because it will be noticed and will increase the esteem others will have for you.”
